-What? Um, why?
Hello
I am an seo consultant for http://www.urldeleted.eu (it was a pet boutique web site in Europe.)
-Yeah, um, okay, I'm not interested in other sites using my blog to sell their stuff.
We would like to exchange links with your web site http://dontgimmethat.blogspot.com/ as our sites are related by the topic pets
-Only narrowly. As in, maybe the word 'pet' was mentioned somewhere on my blog. I'm more interested in the rights of pet owners than in some muckity-muck fancy schmancy pet boutique somewhere across the ocean from me.
First of all we create a new dedicated page for your site link with a thumb image of your web site home page
Plus we also add your site link to a category page (no more than 25 sites per page) related to your site so your site is in good company
We then submit both these pages to Google for indexing using site maps each day
We also RSS feed all links to RSS aggregators for even more back links for your site
-Like, HOLY COW! I get be like FAMOUS! MY SITE, MY LITTLE SITE UP IN LIGHTS, so incredibly visible and searchable thanks to this HUGE favour! - Well, that's sure to reel me in, right?
-Uh, think again!…
We will link to your site first, and if you accept this free reciprocal link exchange offer, please click this link
as we have already prepared your details. You will see you link on our site.
-Um, thank you, no…
You will then automatically receive an email confirming your link details and our link details to be added to your site - also see our web site details below
If you wish to exchange 3 waylinks, or exchange links manually by email. Just reply to this email with your web site details; title, description, url
We can exchange reciprocal links, 3way links and deep links
-So, in order to get my site shining through and totally seen on some other sites, I must go through all this and definitely junk up my site with the sites that offer to display my site in the first place, and it isn't even a site I'm interested in? Again, no thank you.
Our site details:
Url:
-And get this, a real kicker.
http://www.mainurlnixedout.eu/pet-supplies/group/5/dog-food
Title (anchor text): dog food
Description: shop online for dog food and pet care products for house hold pets at low internet prices and fast home delivery service - (site deleted)
-Right, just another site trying to sell dog food.
-1. I don't own a dog.
2. I don't plan on it.
3. I don't live in europe.
4. So there's no way you can get any pet food fast-delivered to my house.
5. No thanks…
With best Regards
Bill Black

PLEASE NOTE:
This email is not spam, it was manually sent by us, our sole purpose being to introduce ourselves to you with no obligation on your part.
-Well, it would be more than a bit obnoxious of you to expect me to do anything for you in return for your having merely contacted me with this unnecessary, unwanted offer and whether you sent it manually or not, it is spam…
Your email address was found to be publicly available on your website and it has not been added to any list. We consider this to be a polite way to contact you and apologise sincerely if you have been inconvenienced in any way.
-Not exactly inconvenienced, since I could take any old time to dissect this spam when I pleased. But it is annoying all the same. If you want to sell dog food in Europe, don't bother a blogger in North America with it.
-As for my email being visible, huh? Guess I'll have to check that out and see if there's a setting that needs to be changed. At any rate, what I've said stands.
We are obliged to offer you an 'OPT-OUT' from future mailings from us; should you wish to exercise this right, please reply with "OPT-OUT" in the subject field.
-Oh, yeah, I'll just bet! Not falling for that one, either.
-Good luck selling the dog food in Europe, I don't care how many or few people find my blog, as long as the comments they leave are worth while.
-So that goes for anyone out there. Don't try making me big promises and unappealing offers, don't tell me how awesomely cool or great or whatever my site is and then include a link to your own stupid commercial sites, hoping the flattery will butter up my ego enough so I'll let it through, thereby helping to reward your spamming in my comment areas. Don't give me this crock about my site being related to yours just because I happen to have a few entries that touch on some aspect of your business. If I want to sell stuff, it's going to be my own stuff, and I don't do the incredibly tacky and use my blog to do it.
